The stance are the root of your foundation for
Tai Chi. Joints are never lock out to full extension as you are constantly
engaging the muscle to hold your position rather than relying on the bone to
lock your legs. Tai Chi is also known as quiet motion, as it is always ready
to move at any given direction without having to move out from a locking
joint. Sort of like ballroom dancing or any other fast movement of dancing.
